I think the V8 Vantage is the least pretty Aston of the past 20, or even 30 years. It’s still fucking gorgeous though, just not as pretty as something like the DBS or the Rapide.

The facelifted Rapide, however is ugly

I find the V8 vantage to be the prettiest of Aston’s recent lineup.

I would like to go on record as saying that any “uglier than the others,” Aston is more than welcome in my garage.

As much as I love the other V8 Vantage based on it, it is still pretty appalling by AM standards.

I see where you are coming from...but I also don’t agree. In person they are very handsome and well proportioned, unlike the lump mess of the 1st gen vanquish
Also, I know the V12 isn’t a V8 vantage, but they look similar...and incredible.

I’ve seen V8 Vantages in person, and I personally think the overly wide fenders just make it look awkward, even in person.
Still would drive the hell out of one.

The DB9 and its variants win all the sex awards, but the Rapide over the Vantage? The Rapide isn’t a bad looking car, but it lacks the muscularity of the Vantage.

But it’s supposed to be, since it’s also the least expensive.
If it was the best one, people wouldn’t spend more $$ for a higher model.

I cant say I agree. I think that the Aston Martin aesthetic works best when it’s so tightly wrapped around the Vantage’s less tail heavy proportions. It was their best looking car until the stunning new Vanquish came out.
I’m really not too crazy about the Rapide. Yeah, it’s beautiful, but it looks a bit goofy so stretched out.
I LOVE the DBS, but the aggressive styling bits that it receives makes it look more brutish than beautiful.

Less pretty than this?
I can’t get down with the Rapide though. It’s kind of like the Panamera for me...I guess that’s a Porsche.

Different confession: I think all modern aston’s look the same with the only distinction being 2 or 4 doors

The grille doesn’t look right without that bumper to break it up.
I was about to type about how the facelifted Rapide grille reminds me of another car but then I looked again and told myself, “No, these are two different cars you fuck.”
It’s one of those ones where if I had the choice, the pre-facelift Rapide would be preferred. However, if I had to get the facelifted one, I wouldn't complain.

Agree 100%. Think the Aston look is best in its most trim package - the Vantage. I prefer its looks to any other modern Aston, especially in V12 guise.
